A Statement from the Diversity Co-Chairs

The mission of the Diversity Co-Chairs it to act to amplify the voice of the graduate student body to foster diversity through the BMS community by establishing an environment of belonging.

The goal of the Diversity Co-Chairs is 1) to help foster an environment of inclusivity of all regardless of race, ethnicity, nationality, gender, sexual orientation, and more as well as 2) to alleviate the burden that marginalized students may experience and 3) to teach others how to aid in this process as an ally

Volunteers Wanted

We are seeking volunteers to assist with leading small support groups of 4-10 graduate students. Groups will give participants opportunities to confidentially talk about their experiences as underrepresented minorities at UF and how their identities influence these experiences. As a volunteer, you will provide support and be equipped with resources for addressing student participant concerns. Please email the Diversity Co-Chairs if interested.
